Stewart and I were so excited to be having our second child.  Kristyn was born January 27, 1984.  Our first daughter, Melissa was thrilled to have a baby sister!  We were living in Marietta at that time, so Kristyn is a native Georgian, just like her mom.  She entered the world with a sparkle in her eye.  Kristyn has always loved to perform and be "front and center."  When she was little she would give "performances" that she had choreographed in our living room.  Her most famous expression from the age of five or so was "Hit it, boys!"  As she grew, she continued to be drawn to activities where she could perform in one form or another.  We often wondered if the career she chose would follow that pattern.

Growing up, Kristyn enjoyed swimming and dance.  She swam in her first swim meet for the Cedar Forks Gator Swim Team at age three.  She was the youngest swimmer and the entire crowd was cheering her on.  She began dancing at three, also, and continued with both activities into Middle School.  At that time both were becoming more and more demanding of her time, so she had to make a choice.  Dancing won out and she continued to dance until 8th grade.  In high school Kristyn tried out and made the Pope High School Color Guard.During her years at Pope, the guard improved and became one of the top guards in the country.  In her  Senior year, the Pope High School Winter Guard was awarded the Bronze Medal at World Championships.  It was an experience Kristyn will always treasure and remember.

After graduating from high school Kristyn attended Auburn University.  She majored in  Business with her concentration in Logistics and Management Information Systems.  Her dad and I thoroughly enjoyed her college years, visiting often for football games and family fun.  Kristyn graduated in the Spring of 2007 and took a job with Coca Cola Enterprises here in Marietta.  It is great having her back in the Atlanta area.  Watching Kristyn grow into the woman she is destined to be continues to bring us great joy.  She still has so much untapped potential.  We are very proud of all of her accomplishments.
